Who is “dxtr spits”?
“Dxtr Spits” is Jordan Holmes’ rapping persona, born from the mashup of his nerdy and artsy sides. Dxtr Spits (and his band) performed all over Chicago, nationally, and internationally, gaining notice from NPR Tiny Desk, The Chicago Tribune, WBEZ, WPR, and more. Dxtr Spits has yet to announce a comeback, but we have heard some rumblings... For the moment, check out his works below.

Pack Of Dank
Dxtr tells the story of Dxtr Spits whimsical adventures (designed by Brizzy Danks) through his brain as he humorously realizes the depths of his battles with mental health, relationship turmoil, and societal stressors (symbolically represented by a rubik's cube). In a visually and audibly stunning manner “Pack of Dank” brings up the larger conversation that we all need to ask ourselves, “Who am I deep down?
Slave Name
The piece was written to reflect the internal tug of war as a POC in a corporate environment. Dxtr feels that he is out of place both by his own people and by others whom he can't relate to with life experiences. He therefore is left code switching regardless of the environment and feels he is assigned a name/identity by society opposed to the world allowing him to be himself. He's no longer asking for acceptance :)
